ED WEINSTOCK, 79 YEARS AGO JOHN. WOLF OF YOUR COUNTRY WAS 17 YEARS OLD. IT WAS JULY 1943. AND WOLF ENLISTED IN THE NAVY RIGHT OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL. HE TRAINED AS AN AVIATOR MECHANIC AND FLEW ABOARD BOMBERS LIKE THIS ONE DURING WORLD WAR TWO. DO YOU FEEL 96? NO, NO. TODAY, JOHN LIVES AT THE COUNTRY MEADOWS RETIREMENT COMMUNITY IN WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP. HE HAS A LOT OF PHOTOS OF HIS LIFE IN THE MILITARY. HE IS PROUD OF HIS SERVICE. I’M GLAD THEY STILL REMEMBER VETERANS, ESPECIALLY THE WORLD WAR TWO PEOPLE THEY CONSIDER, WOLF, OLD SCHOOL BECAUSE OF HIS AGE. BUT HE’S DEFINITELY WORTH THAT WHEN IT COMES TO NEW TECHNOLOGY. HE’S BEEN HAVING A BLAST WEARING A VIRTUAL REALITY DEVICE CALLED OLD ENDEAVOR. IT ALLOWS JOHN TO RELIVE MEMORIES OF PLACES HE’S BEEN TO AND GO TO OTHER HE HAS NEVER BEEN. THE RETIREMENT HOME. GOTIT. TWO MONTHS AGO TO HELP RESIDENTS INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER. I PUT IN A REQUEST. I LIKE TO SEE BE IN THE COCKPIT OF A 747. I THINK THEY’RE WORKING ON IT. CHOPPER THOSE ROCKS. RIGHT NOW, JOHN IS USING THE DEVICE TO WATCH A SKYDIVER. BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER PLACES HE CAN GO TO WITHOUT LEAVING HIS ARMCHAIR IN YOUR COUN
